We are now offering Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated.

The hydrogenation process converts some of the fatty acids in the oil from unsaturated to saturated. This process dramatically alters the melting point of the oil, making it solid at room temperature.

How to determine the amount of wax you need for your creative project? 

Determine the volume of your containers (how much wax it will hold) and how many containers you are using.

1. Put your container on a scale and tare to 0.
   
2. Fill with water.
   
3. Write down how many ounces your container holds.

Once you know the volume of your container, you know the amount of soy wax you need. 

You should always weigh your wax on a scale. Here is a simple formula:

 (ounces of wax container will hold) X (number of containers) = (ounces needed)
